tick tock

so far the most difficult and most enjoyable part of plant growing has been the waiting.

there’s something about going to bed, knowing where every leaf is, then waking to see them unfurled.

i know plants that are rooting need rest. no transplanting, no relocating, no nonsense.

so each leaf gets a kiss. water gets changed. i sit at my table and breathe.
